Software Engineering Internship
This will be a 12-week paid internship for the summer split in two 6-week sprints with different teams (Open Source & Branded), 20 hours per week. The intern would be expected to attend the daily stand up meetings (held virtually) and give regular progress updates on their project.
Potential Projects Include but are not limited to:
- Development of a python application backed by a database for xml file generation
- Work to improve our continuous integration system on Mac and/or Windows
- Improve our URL checking process - Reorganize our confluence space
- Remove dead/obsolete code
- Code style automation/checking
- Implicit casting detection on Windows
- Improving our automated screenshotting system
- Improving Wacom Center light/dark mode transitions
Ideal background:
- Pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science
- At least some experience working with Linux & Windows operating systems
- At least some experience with Python, Powershell, and/or C++
- Strong interest in learning and growing in the field of software engineering
- Understanding of software engineering principles and software development life cycle and processes
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Interest in learning about software technologies, tools, and techniques.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
