Windows Software Engineer
Location: This is a hybrid position based in Vancouver, WA. Expected in person time is 1x per month.
Pay & Benefits: $60,000-$70,000 base salary + 10% targeted annual bonus. Pay within this range is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. What you will be doing:
- Design, implement and maintain Windows software supporting Wacom products.
- Gather and analyze software requirements.
- Perform and document detailed software design.
- Apply an object-oriented design approach.
- Create detailed work breakdowns with development time estimates.
- Implement software using C++ and C# with Visual Studio.
- Follow team guidelines for development process, coding style, revision control, etc.
- Assist third party software developers with interfacing their applications to Wacom APIs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Wacom products and the team’s software engineering processes.
- Stay current in the areas of software engineering tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with the development of Windows desktop application software
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and software development life cycle and processes
- Experience with object-oriented languages, especially C++ and C#
- Experience with Git or other revision control systems
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Interest in the latest software technologies, tools, and techniques
- Developing cross-platform applications using C++ or C#
- Python, PowerShell, Perl, and other scripting languages
- Software that interacts with hardware
- Software that models hardware behavior
- Desktop virtualization environments
