Support our BI and data team with data cleanup, file processing, reporting, and development tasks. In this internship, you'll work closely with BI developers and get hands-on experience across SQL, ETL pipelines, and Tableau.
This will be a 6-12-week, 20 hours per week, paid internship for the summer. What you'll do- Assist with data and file cleanup tasks across various data sources
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries to inspect, filter, and clean datasets
- Support developers in building and troubleshooting SSIS packages for data ingestion and transformation
- Assist with ETL workflows extracting data from flat files (CSV, Excel) and loading into SQL Server
- Identify and resolve data quality issues such as duplicates, nulls, mismatched formats, and referential integrity errors
- Assist in building and maintaining reports and dashboards in Tableau
- Help connect Tableau to SQL Server data sources and validate report data against source tables
- Support updates to existing Tableau workbooks as data or requirements change
- Help document SQL scripts, SSIS package logic, and report definitions
What we're looking for- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Working knowledge of SQL including SELECT, JOINs, WHERE, GROUP BY, and basic aggregations
- Familiarity with T-SQL concepts such as subqueries, CTEs, or simple stored procedures is a plus
- Exposure to SSIS or ETL concepts (coursework or personal projects accepted)
- Basic familiarity with Tableau including building simple visuals and connecting to data sources
- Understanding of how reports consume data (tables, views, aggregations) is a plus
- Comfortable working with data files including CSV and Excel
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
